A cigarette lighter plug is about as simple as you can get. Radio Shack 
and truck stops sell them. Use a battery box from West Marine, and the 
only thing to worry about is hooking the plus to the plus and the minus 
to the minus.( The shower of sparks will let you know if you get it 
backwards). It will charge as you drive, just like your regular car 
battery. Unplug when you're using it so as to not run down your car 
battery. If you want something more permanent, wire from the hot side of 
an accessory fuse.
