Like Hunter I have Verizon Cell phne service. For about $45 (on sale) I
bought software and a laptop to cell phone cable. With my cell as a kind of
modem (yes, it is a digital modem) I can connect to Verizons internet
service and I am only charged my normal minutes. That means, since i have
unlimitted nights and weekends i can stay connected for free for hours.
Example: While at a family gettogether last Thanksgiving my laptop was
online showing the family (34 in attendance) what my nephew was doing to our
site www.castine.net . It was online for six hours at no charge. This is
what Hunter is trying to say. As long as there is a Verizon digital
connection you can surf the net get e-mail and as Hunter does manges a few
lists. it's not that fast (you can pay for fast service) but it works.
