IF you have a verizon cell phone plan,  you can connect thru them. You don't 
need an ISP....you just need to have a browser, like internet explorer. 
Verizon's connection is free, and it works well, but you can only connect at 
14.4...so, it's rather slow for "surfing". However, it's fine for email.

Bamnet is a great idea for connecting using regular phone lines...I'm glad 
they've come up with "pay as you go."  In fact, I'm tempted to drop AOL, as a 
service like Bamnet would be good for vacations.  And it would work better 
than verizon cell phone for "surfing".
