The domes are a couple hundred more than the non domes.... $500.00 at most.  
At this point this is way beyond the "little inconvenience" stage.

It's a royal pain in the butt. I didn't take the trailer to Walt to get the 
fridge fixed all week, because I kept expecting the new positioner to arrive. 
 I called Walt on Friday and asked him to bring the circuit board to 
Sarasota.

One thing the Winegard guy told me is the new generation of non dome dishes 
are not affected by wind, like my generation was... because the new 
generation isn't gear driven.  It didn't happen often, but occasionally mine 
would move and lose a signal in the wind.  No big deal if I was home, but 
really annoying if I was taping while away.

That tempts me to get a non dome, but after this experience I think I'll go 
dome.
