We bought a 74 International and love it. It's history was very much
like the one you bought.
We did have to replace the tires after a few years, just for peace of
mind, more than evidence of them being worn out or brittle.
One thing we had done, and since I tow with a miniscule (according to
Hunter and her mega-truck friends) Crown Victoria, was to have the hitch
installed by an A/S dealer. He set the hitch so the car tows correctly
and without  sway. It's almost like the car is saying, Ah, this is what
I was meant to do, when the trailer is hitched up and we're headed down
the road.
I agree with a previous poster, that this is the place to get all your
questions answered. Also it is the place that will add to your list of
questions.
