Ric - Most Airstream Aluminum damage requires the sheet be replaced. The 
clearcoat has to be blended in
to the adjacent panels.  If it is trailerable, pull it to the factory or an 
Airstream dealer only.

Depending on the age you panel may not be in stock and will have to be 
ordered at the factory.
This delay in my case was about 10 days. If you are a full timer, that 
should result in the insurance company paying for your hotel.

I went to two dealers for an estimate and the second dealer Walt's RV, 
Ocala, FL (repair only and used sales really great)
found additional damage the first dealer (Donmar in SC) missed. A quick 
call to the insurance company and
the additional was approved.

There is a dealer in Jackson, Miss I've used for repair that has been very 
good.  Other listees can relate to dealers and repair facilities in the West.
