Conrad - Make sure you check out your propane regulator.

After replacing my furnace circuit board ( expensive)
the non-airstream mechanic told me "well that's it your furnace is
shot.  You'll need a new one.

I opted for a second opinion at an Airstream shop.  The mechanic there went
immediately to the back of the frig (outside compartment) and checked the gas
water level.  It was at 9 inches.  The furnace and all other gas appliance need
to have 12 inches to operate properly.  After replacing a $39.95 regulator 
at the gas
bottles I was happily on my way.  Everything is still working fine now 13 
months later.
Of course the first dealer wouldn't take back the circuit board so now I 
have a spare.

Actually it's a comfortable 72 degrees indise and 20 degrees outside here 
in Travelers Rest in Dade City Florida.

I think I'll go to Florida next year for the winter.LOL.

Having said all of the above.  My experience with repair shops has lead me 
to believe that Airsteam mechanics
seem to be more on the ball and not so quick to start replacing parts.  My 
favorite is Walt in Ocala, but I've used the factory, Bill Pollards, and 
the Airstream shop in NJ to name a few.

My biggest disappointments have been independents, and Bounder/Hilo/cheaper 
brand dealers.
