Thought I would jump in and ask my question too, has any of you tried some
of the flexible solar panels and if so how did they work for you. Here is a

There are better and cheaper places to buy but that was the quickest link I
could find. My thoughts were it would be possible to mount the flexible
panels easily on top of the airstream and was the route I was considering.
Eventually I could have the entire top of our '68 Overlander as a giant
solar panel. They are pretty thin too from what I understand and might could
be installed in such a way that they would never be seen. Just remember to
go up and clean them occasionally.
Any opinions? I know these typically cost more but then its possible they
may be Much easier to mount permanently.
