Re: [A/S] Re: External Antenae Connection
Dick,
I have a satelitte in my roof so the trailer is all wired (by me and the
installer)
Before I had the roof dish I had to do this...........
Go to Radio Shack and buy a tripod. Also buy a piece of *flat* co-ax. It's
white and about 9" long. You'll need a 4" piece of PVC to attach the dish to
and stick it down in the tripod. Get tent stakes at Walmart to stick in the
tripod's feet to hold it down on the ground.
Put the flat coax through a window and screen and have half in and half
out........... you can close the screen and open and close the window with
the flat coax.
Now, Hook the satellite receiever up to the TV and take a short piece of
coax and attach it to the inside flat piece. Then go outside with a long
piece of coax and attach it to the dish at one end and the flat co-ax at the
other end.
Turn on the tv and do what the instructions tell you. You will have to call
the Directv 800# to get a signal. Leave the flat coax in the window and just
unhook there outside when you break camp.
