Hi Richard

I think it likely depends on where you are going to use it. We were 
in Vegas this summer and it was 112 degrees and one a/c did the job 
though barely.  In the three weeks we were away it was the only time 
we turned it on.  In our climate in Ontario where the high temps 
rarely exceed 100 degrees one always seems to handle it. 

Using the window awnings and blowing the initial heat out with the 
Fantastic fans helps quite a bit.  The 50 amp cord is a bit of a pain 
rolling it up when it is cold is like wrestling a boa constrictor.  

Once a commericial unit we did add a second 7,000 btu A/C after the 
fact and both were able to run on the 30 amp cord.
