I have Dish 500 and have used it both at home and on the road. I 
have an extra dish for on the road and take one of my receivers from 
the house when traveling. Since I have the local (Dallas/FW) local 
package, I can access that news from wherever I am. Takes about 5 
minutes to set up and find signal. To switch to local, just go from 
Ch. 3 or 4 which is your Sat. Stations. Dish does have a waiver if 
you want PPV on the road, otherwise, just take your receiver with 
you.
