One of our favorite parks was Pioneer RV Resort at Port Aransas, TX.  Right 
on the Gulf. On a monthly rate, the daily averaged $13.  We also stayed at 
Destination South on Padre Island last year - on a 3-month rate, the daily 
averaged $18.50.  There is also a state park there but is booked up in 
advance.
