I am under the impression that the refrigerator has to be level because of
the fluid that is heated by the gas or electricity, the source of heat is not
the limiting factor.
When we bought our trailer the fridge didn't work and I was advised to "burb
it" to loosen up the fluid that had crystallized by being run off level, it
worked!
