Barbara,

Here at our dealership we would not normally recommend the HydroFlame furnace as a 
replacement for a Suburban either. Not as long as Suburban offers a replacement that 
is a near exact fit.
The HydroFlame furnace is designed to be accessed from the outside and as such requires 
a large hole through the exterior wall. The new Suburban uses the same exhaust/inlet 
air arrangement as the old ones. The main difference between old and new Suburbans is 
the larger BTU units were reduced in size and require blocking and duct extensions to 
align them to the old outlet/inlet holes. Even with that, the replacement is much less 
expensive.
