I rented a motorhome one time that had the heater under the dinette seat.
The ambient air around the unit would get warm enough that it would throw
the circuit breaker and then the fan would stop along with the heat. When
the ambient air around the unit got cooler, it would start up again only to
do the same thing a while later.
My fix on this rental was to keep the dinette seat top off on the side with
the heater (of course it would be the side with the heater <grin>). When I
did this the heater would work just fine. The lack of duct work in that
Alumalite setup also made me find a fix for sending warm air back to the
rear bedroom. I did this with heavy-duty foil; just fashioned a curved wall
and it worked for me.
