The aircraft industry uses the same type of leak test to verify the
pressurization capability of new and repaired aircraft. However, a veeeery
low pressure is used due to the fact that the fuselage (read Airstream
trailer) volume is so large that a catastrophic failure can be very
dangerous and cause unrepairable damage to the fuselage. That test is run
with the complete fuselage wrapped in heavy duty webbing to prevent pieces
from flying during the catastrophic failure. Hopefully the dealer has the
recommended maximum pressure as the Airstream is definitely not designed to
be pressurized.
