Based on my experience towing a 31' with a Ford Centurion C-150
conversion and Ford 5.8L, the 6.0 in a 2500 should do OK in the east,
but will probably leave with Big Block or Diesel envy in the west.
Since you have a 4x4 you could always use Low Range third or fourth
gear for some severe passes. The 6.0L GM with the bigger trailer will
probably pull as well as the 5.8L Ford did with the smaller one, and
probably get better mileage.
