Time to weigh in on this subject, I guess.  Personally, I don't like the
nasty mess left when the numbers must be changed on the Airstream.  A
logical solution would be to WBCCI  to assure that a number always stayed
with the orginal trailer rather than with the owner.  Knowing that this
would never work, the next solution is to use a license plate holder with
the number on it.  WBCCI could make a fortune with this approach.  Another
solution would be a plate to be bolted to the bumper.  Anything to prevent
the nasty appearance of trying to renumber a unit over seal coating.  Then,
it's appearance that really counts and the only way to recognize that it's
an Airstream is by the WBCCI number. :)
