[A/S] Mfg. differences in A/S

Our '83 31' Sovereign does not seem weather friendly. We live in a 
very moderate climate but at 40 degrees outside, we are 65 degrees 
inside with the heater set at 75 running all night. 
Also, this past summer, at 95+ degrees, the A/C could not cool the 
trailer down to a comfort level.
That said, brings me to the question: Did Airsteam manufacture 
different insulated/quality trailers during this period? Did I read 
somewhere that there were double pane windows in some? I can't 
believe that one could live in this trailer in winter in Canada.
