Don't know if you got an answer yet, I'm back from
vacation and I have 150 msgs. yet to read so you may
have your answer by now.  On your Safari you have 3
drains on the curb side between the tandem wheels. 
The large nylon valve is for the fresh water tank. 
You also have two smaller petcocks just to the rear of
the fresh water drain.  These are the low water points
for the hot and cold water lines.  I remember I
accidently left one open last year as I was pumping
antifreeze through the lines.  Didn't notice it at
first till I went outside and saw the stream of pink
stuff on the drive.  You really shouldn't be getting
antifreeze into the fresh water tank unless you have a
problem with the pump or you had antifreeze in the
fresh water tank.  If you think about it if the pump
were bad you would have had water in the fresh water
tank when you were connected to "city water".

As far as you bypass valves.  I'll have the Safari
home next weekend for winterizing and I can review the
positioning of the valves at that time, if you haven't
figured it out by that time.  Just let me know if you
are still interested.
