Re: [A/S] Delorme Map-n-go

I have used MNG and their Street Atlas products for years along with their
TripMate GPS. Features vary among different versions of the SA, but for me,
SA gives more detail and usefulness inside the US, but MNG also covers
Canada and Mexico. If I could have only one program, it would be SA. NOT
the most recent "Deluxe" version of SA, though - that looks like a whole
different product and I think the interface is crummy.

If you are only mapping stuff beforehand and not actually using it to
pinpoint your position as you drive, I think Streets and Trips (Microsoft)
is pretty nifty. I have it working with my TripMate GPS for travel, but the
little "you are here" cursor is not very visible and is therefore hard to
see at a glance. Also it doesn't work directly without changes to the
TripMate. S&T also covers Canada (maybe Mexico also, but I don't remember
for sure).

Of course, the MNG you have will continue working forever, and it will be a
long time before there are enough road changes to make it obsolete.
