Yes it is, compared to them.

It does.  Mine is setup to begin sending current to the electric 
brakes at a brake pedal movement that doesn't even begin to put 
pressure into the hydraulic brake system.

There really isn't enough resistance to stretch the cable... no where 
near that on a bicycle brake for example.  And once the cable takes a 
set, it isn't going to change after that.
