[A/S] Re: Hensley Hitch Install - Recoring Axles

Hi Thomas

It sounds like you have done everything correct and are getting good
weight transfer. Weight transfer is not as critical with a Hensley
and with a Suburban it is rare to be able to push the front down
using a standard bar. You should have 2 holes showing on the stems
comming out of the bottom of the jacks.
If you do have 2 holes showing then what you need is an 8" drop. If
you do not have 2 holes showing then you can extend the stems by one
hole and that will likely level out the Airstream.

It is rare to need an 8" drop on a Suburban though. Are you sure it
is a perfectly level surface that you are measuring on?

By the way. There is no way to replace the rubber in a Hension axle
except at the factory and even there it is rare. If the Argosy in
question is 15" to the bottom of the frame the axles are fine and
have only settled about an inch.
