I will "second" the above.  I have a 1999 27 ft. Safari and it does great with 
the Reese set-up.  I now have a 2500HD GMC extended cab with a long box, but 
pulled the same trailer with a 1500 GMC extended cab short box.  I have used 
the Reese from coast to coast and from the Great lakes to the Gulf of Mexico.  
The Reese has given me a very stable ride and I have never felt the need for 
a different hitch.
