Re: [A/S] Hensley Mounting

Chas,

The Argosy (round style) began and ended construction over in Versailles, OH.
Airstream used it to test ideas before bringing them over to Jackson Center.
Examples include the large from windows (6 years before Airstream), the
motorhome (also 6 years early). The appliances used were name brands and of
the same quality, in many cases the same appliance used in the Airstream. The
principle construction differences were the lighter (by 1 inch) frame and the
one piece top caps front and back. The overall lighter construction allowed
the use of a lighter frame. The same approach used today on the Safari line.
The interiors were different layouts with the Argosy using the older and more
simple styles used in earlier years. And every Argosy made had a round orange
tag by the entry door which declares it made by Airstream. Is it and Airstream?
No. It is very similar? Yes. Does it matter in the larger scheme of things? No.
Lets enjoy the common heritage and explore the differences.
