[A/S] winterizing

Hi all,

I've been lurking here for a while, you all have been
a great wellspring of knowledge and experience here.
Thanks.

My girlfriend and I last month picked up a '57
Caravanner. It has given us great pleasure so far as
is, but the time has come to start addressing some
other issues.

My custody situation with my 5 year old boy has
recently changed. I need to explore the feasability
of outfitting the A/S as a second home in northwest
New Jersey. It gets cold and snowy up there. Is this
possible?

The trailers' propane stove, oven and lantern all work
great. So does the 110v electric.

I don't know about the hot water heater; there are
many copper to rubber patches through the entire
trailer and it won't pass water. I anticipate a total
revamp of the water systems, and would like any
suggestions you may have to keep it usable without
freezing. Perhaps a hot water on demand system and a
way to easily empty the hoses in the morning when I'm
leaving for a few days.
