Re: [A/S] LP Blockage?

Tom, sounds like a low gas pressure problem to me. You might want to have
your gas regulator tested. I assume you filled up with propane from a known
good source. I think I'd try switching tanks to eliminate the current tank's
pigtail as a source of blockage and low pressure. I assume the tank valve is
fully open rather than just cracked open. I don't know how significant
traveling in the higher elevations would be. If the problems only occur at
altitude, it must be significant.

A few months ago I installed a new Dometic fridge with electronic ignition
in my Tradewind. I'm not 100% sure how it works other than it lights the
burner when the fridge is switched to gas. I've heard that once lighted, the
burner stays on and the thermostat setting varies the flame height and thus
the cooling. The gas has never blown out on my fridge so I don't know if the
electronic ignition relights it automatically or not but I think not.
Someone on the list will know.

Fridge flameouts are not an uncommon problem especially with some model
Airstreams. The factory came up with a fix of putting a furnace filter
inside the vented outside access door to block wind gusts and pressure
changes caused by passing vehicles. Might be worth a try.
