 I subscribe to the thery of.... "KISS" Keep it simple "......"  Well 
you get the idea. Just go down to your local hardware store or RV 
parts store and get a garden hose plug. It threads into the fitting 
that you connect the hose to. Be sure to install a new sealing washer 
first. Evan if you didn't have a leaker that connection should be 
closed for sanitary reasons. Less than a buck and five minutes should 
do the job. Arnie
