Airstreams will leak at the seams eventually.  All of
the twisting and flexing on the road will make it
inevitable.  Airstream makes a product that they sell
in a trigger oil can type container.  This stuff will
flow and the nozzle is less than a mm wide.  I sealed
every seam in my Ambassador and it worked great. 
Vulkem is hard to work in a thin bead...very messy.
