Where did you get the Bix Stripper?

I have tried the very best waxes on the market on my cars and none of
them will prevent oxidation very well but they usually do a good job of
removing it.

I would just strip the old clearcoat and not recoat it but treat it with
a wax job once or twice a year.
You might think about a orbital waxer like the ones they sell at Costco
or Sams.  It makes the wax job go much easier. I picked one up for around
$30 at Costco last spring and it works well. It cuts waxing time down to
a third of what it was.
