I don't know if they are the same, but my '63 Bambi has latches that attach
the backrest to the wooden "shelf" that sticks out from the wall. The bottom
part pushes all the way to the wall, then the backrest sits on top of it
held in place by the latches. If you want I could probably take a picture
tomorrow.
