Charles,
I checked this out before using the tube for storage of propane on my
unit. My tube is mounted to a cross member with 3/8" lag bolts that
makes it very solidly attached. I guess it would be possible to drag it
on something, but there are all kind of possibilities as one goes down
the highway. You are always only a few seconds away from death. The guy
across the yellow line could always veer across and hit you head on, but
we keep on using the highways.
