When I had my hitch, wiring harness and brake control installed the 
installer ask me if I wanted a charge line to my trailer and I ask him 
"Wasn't that a standard thing to do if you tow a trailer? And he told 
me sometimes the installers don't do it because of liability reasons.
Maybe these folks that hook up their trailers do not have a charge 
line to charge and give their trailers power?
