Jarrod, I looked into shipping an awning earlier. Has to be shipped motor
freight because of the size and it's pricey. The local RV dealer told me
that they often find that new awnings are damaged in shipment. As for
packaging for shipment you might see if a local RV dealer has a left over
shipping tube from an awning they installed on a customer's coach. Another
option for the roller and canvas might be a couple of appropriately sized
PVC pipes coupled together.
