Dave,

I'm not quite sure what valve you are looking for. 
Normally the only valves associated with the hot water
tank are the drain valve on the tank and the bypass
valves that allow you to circumvent the water heater
when you winterize the trailer.  I know my bypass
valves are next to the hot water tank.  I access that
from a streetside storage hatch.

You also have a shutoff valve just below the shower
head that allows you to cut off water flow while you
are showering.
