all air conditioners have freon (refrigerant) and leaks can occur  but make 
sure both coils are clean  the inside  or cold coil sould be clean just like 
the outside coil the hot one take a flash light and try to see deep into the 
two coils if you see blockage then use fantastic and spray it into the coil  
 and wait a few minutes  and wash it out you'll see a big differacne and it 
will smell much better    , Kenny
