[A/S] Dinette

Jere,
  I had the "rear" seat over the wheelwell. If you look at this picture:

you can see the plastic wheelwell cover behind the coiled-up water hose.
The seatback was part of the dinette.

Essentially, I built 2 seats that were about 24 X 17 inches (if memory 
serves), then cut the one away to fit over the wheelwell. Both were 
attached to a piece of 1/2" plywood that was in turn attached to the 
floor. The main reason for the latter was because of a bit of floor rot 
due to a leaky window. By building the seat out of plywood, with lots of 
glue and screws, then fastening it down securely, it was very sturdy, 
even though it was kind of cantilevered over the wheelwell.

the front seat:

rode while underway.

We liked the dinette a lot, and felt that it made the trailer more 
"homey" and generally more useful. I do wish I had saved the old couch 
stuff, as I had several folks inquire about it, especially at sale time. 
Some wanted to restore it to original. Of course, the actual buyers of 
the trailer loved the dinette; I could tell that it was "sold" when the 
wife sat down at the table. :-)
