I just noticed something today while browsing Thor's Airstream 
website.

The GVWR for the 28, 30 & 31 Classic has increased by 400 pounds 
thus increasing the NCC by 400 pounds.

Here are the "old" weights for the 2002 Classics:

GVWR
28 - 8200
30 - 8300
31 - 8300

NCC
28 - 1470
30 - 1120
31 - 1150

Here are the new weights:

GVWR
28 - 8600
30 - 8700
31 - 8700

NCC
28 - 1870
30 - 1520
31 - 1550

My guess for the new weights would be higher rated axles.
