Re: [A/S] Insurance
IMHO, lowest cost is the wrong thing to wish for when shopping for
insurance of any kind. My Airstream is insured with State Farm, and they
are not the cheapest. (Not the most expensive, either) I have used them
for over 25 years. I know exactly who to get hold of when I need
anything, and I know exactly where he is. I haven't filed many claims,
(One on the Airstream for some slight body damage - let's not go there)
but every time I have filed a claim their response has been to write a
check. I've never had to chase down a claims adjuster, or wait for
returned phone calls, or answer a bunch of questions. They didn't
require me to get estimates, I towed my trailer to Jackson Center, and
State Farm paid Airstream directly. I get the willies when I think about
dealing with an insurance company that I can't deal with face to face.
Go with a National Company that has no hoops for you to jump through.
Service is WHY YOU'RE BUYING INSURANCE.
I'm not in the insurance business, get no kickbacks, and my agent is not
related to me.
