Re: [A/S] suburban 1500

Thomas,

You have already had some good responses. I towed a 29' Excella 1989 model
for over a year with the same vehicle. It does slow down going uphill, but
then so do I even when the vehicle does not. hi hi Most of the towing,
except over Wolf Creek Pass and etc. the 1500 will do the job if:
1) You have a good load equalizing, sway controlled hitch,
2) You keep the brakes in good shape, on both vehicles,
3) You add an additional transmission cooler even though you have the
tow package, and
4) You watch for fast 18 wheelers coming from behind and prepare for
some suck into and push away from the truck as it passes.

I did get a F350, crew cab with the Power Stroke diesel engine and would
not go back to the 1500. Go for as much vehicle as you can afford and
drive. The longer, heavier, and more powerful the better.
