Hi Hunter, The earlier serial numbers were simpler. O-7053 was all there was to it. Later on with two plants running and a desire to better identify a unit they expanded the serial number, which in turn allowed them to restart the numbers. Even today there are only 6 digits to id each unique coach. Charlie
