RE: [A/S] Travel to Canada

We did Pacific Northwest last summer (2nd trip in five years) in our 25'
excella and Suburban.

No problems with borders this time, but last trip searched inside of trailer
for whatever.

The ferry system is great, you get special lanes for trucks and trailers and
the drop at loading and unloading was not a problem (dragging) but could be.

Go to www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/index.cfm This will give you all the info on
the ferries, they even have web cams so you can see the traffic lineup at
various terminals.

We had a great trip. Do consider basing yourself and just taking day trips
to various islands. We stayed on Whidbey island near deception pass.
Beautiful but make sure the airbase is not training for carrier landings
when you plan your stay. The noise in incredible and you can read markings
on tires with field glasses as they come over (they practice at night also).
as one person positively put it, "its' the sound of freedom".
