Re: [A/S] elevating my AS Safari (1998) 25', dual axle

The Univolt in your unit is a ferroresonant transformer, and will buzz as
long as you are plugged in to shore power. It's supposed to shut off at
some point, but mine never did. I replaced it with an Intelipower unit and
Charge Wizard and am happy now.

AC is provided direct from the shore power. There is no inverter in A/S's.

Go to http://www.tompatterson.com and you'll find all the information you'll
ever need about airstreams in a searchable database.

Good luck, and have fun.
