[A/S] Backup Cam - It's already available

Try Walmart.  The only problem, is that the cable needs to be a 
straight run, with no cuts or connections in the middle, so the 
backup cam is only good to the rear of the tow vehicle.  You would 
need to talk to someone who installs alarms and video monitoring 
systems to get a cable made up to cover the tow vehicle and the towed 
vehicle.  Needs to be about forty five or more feed with a longer 
trailer and a truck.  They ain't expensive tho and can be found in 
the auto section of Walmart.
