A long rig like a 4 door pickup needs more than one space anyway so I just 
find 2 to pull through.  I have found some little rice rockets parked behind 
me on occasion trying to pick up a hitch hickey, but any damage is their own 
fault.  I just nose out and on my way.

Besides, most end to end empty slots are out on the periphery of the parking 
lot, thus (as I do not smoke in the truck) I get a chance to "burn one" on 
my way across the parking lot.

Fires my engines.  (LOL)
