[A/S] wheel question

I purchased a set of wheels for our 1965 Overlander.  Rated at 2600#. I was 
told I needed a 0 offset.  These wheels have a 1/2" offset.  I was told by 
the manufacturer that this was as close to 0 as I was going to find.  It this 
a true statement?  Can I use these wheels, or do I need to return them?  Need 
Advice,  please respond.
