Re: [A/S] Vapour barrier?

Daisy, your trailer had tile throughout before you installed the cork? Mine
has carpeting and I would like to install a new floor. I don't like the
carpet in the living area at all. It is OK in the sleeping area. I think it
would be much easier to maintain a floor that could be swept or mopped.

Since the factory installs the carpet on a bare floor and then puts in all
the interior walls and such, I was wondering about the process for installing
a "hard" floor. Would I just cut the carpet away at all the edges of the
walls, cabinets, partitions, etc? I assume I would then have to put a trim
piece, such at shoe molding or quarter round, at the perimeter.

Any thoughts from Pearl or others on the details of switching from carpet to
a "hard floor"? I sure like the looks of the cork or bamboo flooring.
