I have to agree with Roger. You need a "big persuader if they are being
so sneaky "--but big persuaders (lawyers) come with a fee you have to
pay. .
Another thing to think about is that very often a state will have an
insurance ombudsman who will contact insurers who are not reacting to
claims the way we believe they should. Have a look for your state
insurance commissioner's office or other simular organization. They can
withdraw the license of an insurer to market in an area, or audit them
to death or ??? whatever, to bring them to task. Very often it causes an
insurer to snap to attention.
Finally, I wonder if you have been dealing with the adjuster only, or
have you gone "over his head" Try having a talk with his manager or
district manager. He should have no hesitation in giving you the name
and phone number if he's being legitimate.
No wonder insurance companies get a bad rep.
