[A/S] Roof paint.

What a great source of help you all are! We're off home now to
England, and will be back in the fall to carry on living in, and
working on, our Excella. I've just finished stripping and re-coating
the end caps while in the middle of a field (I can give details if
anyone wants), and I'm considering the re-finishing required on the
top roof panels which are invisible from ground level. I note that
the new models are painted white, and this seems an attractive idea
in terms of longevity of the finish and heat reflection. I've seen a
product called Plastcote White Alkyd Fibred Roof Coating, Made by
Elixir, at $25.95 a gallon to cover 50 square feet. It is
specifically made for RV roofs. I've also seen (Wal-Mart) a McCloskey
Multi-Use 100% Acrylic Latex paint in white for use on Aluminum
siding at $16.97 a gallon for 400 square feet.I want to avoid
anything which will chalk, and then run white streaks over the side
of the trailer. I also want something which will last a long time, as
access to the roof is not easy. Perhaps a two-part paint would be
better suited? Perhaps an aluminum paint would be a smart solution?
Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. Many
thanks, from Nick.
