[A/S] Airstream Factory clearcoat fix

Thanks for the info on getting the clearcoat done at P & S.

I have contacted both them and the factory about stripping and
reapplying the clearcoat. We can still get in at the factory under the
winter special. They would strip and recoat but do not polish anything.
P & S would do the strip, recoat and polish anything that needs it. With
the winter special at the factory, they are quite a bit cheaper than
goint through P & S.

I have confindence that P & S would do a very nice job, but the price at
the Airstream factory is tempting us. I am only hesitating because there
are a few spots on our Airstream that I'm not sure if it's oxidation or
just clearcoat failure. If it is oxidation, the factory doesn't buff it
out. We aren't concerned about having the trailer look all shiny, but we
do want the job done right.


Has anyone had any experience having this done at the factory?
